Going for one to one business meeting.

If you are going for business meetings one to one try to remember and follow some basic rules.

-Be on time. Never be late. It's rude and shows irresponsibility.
-Do the homework. Revise what is the purpose of your visit.
-Be in formal attire as much as possible. It shows your respect for the other person. But always remember the time, place, occasion. Don't go to the beach in a business suit.
-If you are hosting choose the place keeping in mind whom are you meeting, his status, and comfort.

-Stand up to greet your guest.
-Ask if everything is ok on the way to the meeting place.
-If it's a food place as per the time frame if he or she wants to have something before starting the meeting. Or if it's an office after greeting you can start your meeting.
-Be courteous when you speak.
-Be specific. Cause time is valuable for both of you.
-If you have a business card exchange it in a proper manner.

-Give your undivided attention.
-Sit straight. But be normal.
-Keep your mobile phone in a silent mode.
-keep yourself composed.
-After finishing the meeting thank him or her and let them know it was an effective and resourceful meeting.
